Please read this notice before using Puthiverse (the "Service"). Your use of the Service constitutes agreement to the terms set out below. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue use.

1. Nature of the information

Puthiverse aggregates and displays information about Assamese-language books — including titles, authors, cover images, descriptions, ratings, reviews and buy-links. Everything on the Service is provided for general informational and community-discussion purposes. While we take reasonable care to keep the catalogue accurate, we make no warranty of completeness, timeliness, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose. Rely on the site at your own risk; consult primary sources for scholarly, journalistic or legal work.

2. Reviews, ratings and other user content

Star ratings, written reviews, shelves, follows, avatars, display names, bios and other content posted by users are their personal opinions and do not represent the views of Puthiverse. We do not vet submissions in real time. If you find content that appears defamatory, plagiarised, harassing or otherwise unlawful, please contact us. We reserve the right — but assume no obligation — to remove content or suspend accounts at our sole discretion.

3. Book covers, excerpts and photographs

Cover images, short jacket blurbs, and author photographs remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers, authors and photographers. They are used editorially — to help readers identify and discuss books — and we believe this use falls within fair dealing for review and criticism under Indian copyright law and analogous international frameworks. Rights-holders who wish to request updates, credits or removals may write to puthiverse@gmail.com with proof of ownership; we respond within seven working days.

4. Affiliate buy-links

Some links on book pages lead to external retailers (for example, Amazon or Flipkart). Puthiverse may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases made through these links, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links do not influence which books we feature or how they are rated by our community.

5. Third-party links

The Service may link to publishers, media outlets, universities and social platforms outside our control. We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies or practices of those sites. Inclusion of a link is not endorsement.

6. No professional advice

Nothing on Puthiverse constitutes literary, academic, medical, legal, financial or investment advice. Please consult qualified experts for such matters.

7. Availability

Puthiverse is offered "as is" and "as available." We may modify, pause or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for temporary unavailability, hosting incidents, or events beyond our reasonable control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Puthiverse, its contributors, volunteers and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Guwahati, Assam.
